Question: How to model a pedestal above the cap?

Answer: Home: Substructure: Place Bearings: Cube

In OpenBridge Model, the bearing type Cube can be adjusted to represent a pedestal to adapt the cap sides to different heights. The example in the image below uses a pedestal above the cap and below the deck for slab bridges. Note that there is no need to define any girders in this scenario as the bridge type is Slab Bridge. This is normally used in approaches or at transition spans from one bridge type to another.
