Overview

When running a CIBSE Gain Calc you may find unexpected room temperature values in your results.

Method

In the image below, the design room condition for summer is at 23° Celsius, however, the results show the maximum room temperature at 20 degree Celsius:

This happens because a  temperature schedule has been instead assigned to this room. The calculation will then show the room temperature from that schedule.

In this example, the above report takes its maximum temperature of 20° Celsius, from the selected Schedule below:

Should you instead wish to just use your Temperature figures as entered in the Room Data, then simply deselect the Schedule, and leave this field blank.

Alternatively, if you have many rooms, you can create a new daily schedule with the temperatures you need, and the same should be assigned to the rooms.

Note: This new daily schedule should be implemented into the weekly and yearly schedule as well. See below:

After assigning the new schedule, the results should match, aligned to the room temperature as required.
