Problem description:

I am trying to load Navisworks Export for NWC file, but I am getting a message that says ‘NWEXPORT_20’ is not signed. How can I successfully load the app?

Solution:

Check whether OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition (High Security) is not opened. When using OBD in this mode, variable MS_SECURITY_LEVEL is set to high which only allows applications that are digitally signed by Bentley to be loaded.

If not in OBD High-Security mode, although the default value is NONE, check whether the MS_SECURITY_LEVEL is set to HIGH or MEDIUM. When set to MEDIUM, only applications that are digitally signed by Bentley or by a certificate identified by MS_SECURITY_SPC can be loaded.

If the variable is set to HIGH or MEDIUM, change it to LOW or NONE. This should now allow you to load the app successfully and proceed on the steps required in exporting NWC file.
