Mapping the RFA types to the Catalog types

 Product(s):OpenBuildings Designer
 Version(s):CONNECT Edition
 Area:Dataset and Content
 Subarea:RFA

Problem Description:

I have an RFA file, but it looks like OpenBuildings Designer doesn’t have a similar object type. What should I do?

Steps to Resolve

First, create a Catalog Type with properties that match what the RFA is. The wiki below will help you with this.

Then, use the RFA interpreter Wizard to map the RFA type to the Catalog Type you created previously.

You will find the RFA Interpreter Wizard in the File tab.

Once you have opened the RFA Interpreter, please have a look at the Online Help (link below) for a step-by-step description of how to use it.
