What is the difference between positive volume and negative volume in the Totalizing Flow Meter?
Positive Volume - The amount of flow passing through the meter from the element upstream (Start Node) to the element downstream (Stop Node). For reservoirs, a positive volume represents water filling the reservoir (going to it.) For junctions, a positive volume represents volume of water leaving the junction as a demand.
Negative Volume - The amount of flow passing through the meter from the element downstream (Stop Node) to the element upstream (Start Node). For reservoirs, a negative volume represents water emptying the reservoir (going away from it.) For junctions, a negative volume represents volume of water entering the junction as a negative demand (inflow).
Net Volume - The value reported in this field is the Negative Volume subtracted from the Positive Volume.
Total Volume - The total amount of flow passing through the meter in either direction.
