Problem
As you start to install MicroStation CONNECT Edition you receive the error:
“Please install KB2999226 on your machine before initiating installation Microstation”
Solution
The letters KB comes from Knowledge Base, in this case a knowledge base from Microsoft, where you can get updates that are missing from your system.
This message means that your system does not have some update files from Microsoft (KB2999226) and they are needed to be able to install MicroStation.
How to correct this:
Download the files from Microsoft site that are related to your operating system. Below are links to Microsoft site.
Be aware that those links may change over a period.
note: MicroStation CONNECT Edition is a 64 bits application, so download 64 bits file.
