To Dimension piping components in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.

Background

Part dimensioning / Overall dimensioning for the components on a pipeline is required sometimes for an ease of fabrication and desired by user requirement. For Field Fit Weld applied on a component, separates the dimension of a component on a pipeline. See image below.

To make a combined dimension along with pipe and component, below are the steps provided to achieve these settings.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open "Isometric configuration" through Project Administrator.
  2. Select Settings option and click on "Create/Modify" option.

  3. Use "Dimensioning" option from Index present in Isometric Configuration dialog.
  4. Under "Primary" tab, go to option "Component Dimensions" & check OFF “Dimension Field Welds”.See image below.

  5. Generate Isometrics & Verify result. See image below.

  6. Similarly For Existing Component, it displays a separate dimension. See image below.

  7. Repeat Step 1 to step 3 as explained above.
  8. Under "Miscell" tab, check OFF “Dimension Existing Pipework”.See image below.

  9. Generate Isometrics & Verify result. See image below.

  10. (Optional) When Option not present in Isometric Configuration dialog, user may use style.xml file to edit the option.See steps below.
    1. In Isometric Configuration dialog, click on "Explore Style" option. See image below.
