How to add column from specs in component selection dialog box

Background

In OpenPlant Modeler, Pipe, Inline Components etc are specs driven. While Placing any component, The component selection dialog box will appear. Requirement is to add or edit column that are already present in specs in component selection dialog box. In this article, we will explore the required changes to meet this requirement.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition.

  2. Select and Place Pipe from Piping Galleries ribbon group as shown below.



  3. The component selection dialog box will appear.



  4. Right click on any column and click on Select Columns...



  5. Column Selection dialog will appear. Select any column. Here selected Component Name.



  6. Column can adjusted according to priority by clicking Move Up or Move Down.



  7. Click on OK. The "Component Name" Column is added in the Component Selection dialog box.
