Overview

In the OpenPlant OPPID OOTB ISO Metric workset, the Pipe Run Termination is not configured correctly. As a result, it doesn’t get positioned properly in relation to the direction of the pipe end.

Problem Description

In the OpenPlant PID OOTB ISO Metric workset, an issue has been identified with the configuration of the Pipe Run Termination. The current setup is incorrect, leading to placement issues. Specifically, the Pipe Run Termination does not orient itself correctly in relation to the direction of the pipe end. This misalignment disrupts the appearance and creates overlap.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Start the OPPID Iso Metric workset.

  2. Open a .dgn file, navigate to the component manager, and look for SEGMENT_TERMINATION.
  3. Choose SEGMENT_TERMINATION and select the “Define or Edit Connection Point” option.

  4. Observe that two connection points are defined but not positioned.

  5. Remove CP1 and modify CP2.

  6. Position the connection point marker at the center of the graphics, as indicated in red. Confirm by clicking OK.

  7. Restart the application, insert a “Pipe Run Termination”, and check that it is correctly placed.
