sisNET CE Update 6, 7, 2023.0 and 2023.1 can be used on the following operating systems:

Software prerequisites: the Prerequisites for Bentley Desktop Applications are automatically downloaded and installed to your workstation while you install MicroStation. The contents of the Prerequisites for Bentley Desktop Applications include:

• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2
• Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications core
• Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications localized

Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Internet Explorer (minimum v11.0, with 128-bit cipher strength. Microsoft no longer supports any versions before v11.0). Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer are not installed as part of the product pre-requisites.

Note on Windows Server 2019 Core, here you have 2 options:

• If you are using a server only as a file server in a sisNET environment, Windows Server 2019 Core is an option.
• If you use a server for anything that requires a user interface and/or graphical processes, such as sisIMS, Windows Server 2019 Core is not sufficient. In this case, other Windows Server components are required and are needed to run and maintain the web application components, sisIMS engines, and CONNECTION Client.
