Troubleshoot New Installations (Single Users)

The following document describes trouble shooting tips and resources relating to carrying out installations of MicroStation CONNECT Edition

It is advisable to speak with your IT or CAD/SITE Administrator if you have one prior to installing MicroStation Edition, as they may have a Preconfigured install.

1. MICROSTATION SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

The first step with any application installation is to ensure that it is compatible with the platform on which it is to be run, MicroStation CONNECT Edition is no different.

It is important to note the requirements may change with Application Updates, so check the latest documentation

In addition, ensure the version being installed is compatible with other Applications that may be installed such as ProjectWise

2. DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE

Software is typically downloaded from the CONNECT portal, although the version required may not be available or you may not have permission to install.

Your IT CAD/Site Administrator may also have already downloaded and preconfigured for your Organization so please contact them in the first instance.

3. INSTALLING DOWNLOADED SOFTWARE
